ABOUT US
The Coomba Aquatic Club Inc. was formed in June 1992 and is an Incorporated Association under the provisions of the NSW Associations Incorporation Act. Our Club’s history has been built on volunteer labour and a strong ethos of leveraging the funds from our fundraising activities and in applying for various grants for capital and Landcare improvements at the Crown Reserve from which the Club operates. This grant funding has provided the much needed “step up” by adding to Club funds and volunteer labour to allow projects to proceed.
The Club operates under a Constitution and is managed by a committee drawn from its membership, which is elected annually at the Annual General Meeting, usually held in September. The committee comprises three Office Bearers – President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, plus up to 5 committee members
There are several sub-committees, including Social and Fundraising activities; the Clubhouse project; Landcare and site maintenance; and Sailing.
From small beginnings, the Club now has more than 200 members including those who are part of a family membership. Read more about the history of the Coomba Aquatic Club >>
